Lafayette County is a county in South West Wisconsin. It is named after Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, a French Military Officer.
The seat and largest city are both Darlington.
It borders Grant, Iowa and Green Counties in Wisconsin, as well as Stephenson and Jo Daviess Counties in Illinois.
Main highways include US-151, WI-11, WI-23, WI-78, WI-81 and WI-126.
